Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of Diabetes Strategies in Canada and Abroad.

Gerry Gallagher and Valerie Gideon made statements and, with Alfred Aziz and Jennette Toews, answered questions.

At 4:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:15 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Roslynn Baird, Agnes Coutinho and Mélanie Henderson, by videoconference from Montréal, Quebec, made statements and answered questions.

At 5:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:06 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $15,300.00, for the study on Diabetes Strategies in Canada and Abroad, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the updated work plan prepared by the analysts for the study on Canada's Food Guide be adopted, as amended.

At 5:41 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
