Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, May 27, 2019 the Committee proceeded to a briefing on steelhead salmon in the Fraser River.

Eric Taylor, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Rebecca Reid, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Andrew Thomson, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Robert Bison, by videoconference from Kamloops, British Columbia, and Poul Bech, by videoconference from Burnaby, British Columbia, made statements and answered questions.

At 5:54 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:54 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $16, 600, for the study of the adequacy of enforcement and penalties for infractions of the Fisheries Act, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $5, 300, for the study of the third party habitat banking framework for implementation in Canada, be adopted.

At 5:55 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
