The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Ed Fast gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee condemn the statement by the Member for Edmonton Centre and reaffirm the importance of the Parliamentary process and the role that committees play in Canada's system of government.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced its study of subject matter of the Interim Estimates 2019-20: Votes 1 and 5 under Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, Votes 1, 5 and 10 under Department of the Environment and Votes 1 and 5 under Parks Canada Agency.

Carol Najm, Alan Kerr and Michael Nadler made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 5:21 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
