Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, September 20, 2016, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-13, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act, the Hazardous Products Act, the Radiation Emitting Devices Act, the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, the Pest Control Products Act and the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act and to make related amendments to another Act.

The Committee resumed its clause-by-clause study of the Bill.

The Committee resumed clause-by-clause consideration on Clause 33 of the Bill.

The Committee reverted to the consideration of the amendment of Gerry Ritz previously stood which read as follows: That Bill C-13, in Clause 33, be amended by replacing lines 12 to 15 on page 21 with the following:

label means any prescribed written, printed or graphic matter that appears on, that accompanies or is to accompany, or that is attached to, a pest control product. (étiquette)”

By unanimous consent, the amendment was withdrawn.

Gerry Ritz moved, — That Bill C-13, in Clause 33, be amended by replacing lines 13 to 15 on page 21 with the following:

“(a) that is or is to be applied or attached to or included in, or that accompanies or is to accompany, a pest control product or a package; or

(b) that belongs to a pest control product and is transmitted electronically, in accordance with the regulations.”

After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Gerry Ritz and it was agreed to.

After debate, Clause 33, as amended, carried.

The Title carried.

The Bill, as amended, carried.

ORDERED, — That the Chair report the Bill, as amended, to the House.

ORDERED, — That Bill C-13, as amended, be reprinted for the use of the House at report stage.

At 12:35 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 12:58 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
