Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of systemic racism and religious discrimination.

The Hon. Murray Sinclair and Kevin Barlow made statements and answered questions.

At 4:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Canadian Heritage to appear as soon as possible (subject to availability) to discuss the Government's new cultural policy.

At 4:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Samer Majzoub, Mohammed-Nur Alsaieq, Faisal Bhabha and Yavar Hameed made statements and answered questions.

At 4:58 p.m., Dan Vandal took the Chair.

At 5:28 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
