The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in a video recording session at 11:06 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: David Christopherson, Kevin Lamoureux, Alexandrine Latendresse, Tom Lukiwski, Dave MacKenzie, Ted Opitz, Joe Preston, Scott Reid, Blake Richards and Craig Scott.

 

Acting Members present: Niki Ashton for Craig Scott and Jean Crowder for Alexandrine Latendresse.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Andre Barnes, Analyst; Erin Virgint, Research Assistant.

 

Appearing: Hon. Andrew Scheer, M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons.

 

Witnesses: House of Commons: Marc Bosc, Acting Clerk of the House of Commons; Mark G. Watters, Chief Financial Officer; Kevin M. Vickers, Sergeant-at-Arms.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2014-15: Vote 1b under HOUSE OF COMMONS, referred to the Committee on Wednesday, November 5, 2014.
 

The Chair called Vote 1b under HOUSE OF COMMONS.

 

The Speaker made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 11:50 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 

Vote 1b under HOUSE OF COMMONS carried.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 1b under HOUSE OF COMMONS to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That, with respect to the Order of Reference concerning motion M-428 (E-petitions), the Committee seek an extension of 30 sitting days in order to give it appropriate consideration.

 

At 12:04 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:16 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

At 12:18 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
