We can now proceed to the election of the chair.
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the chair must be a member of the governing party. I'm now ready to receive motions for the post of chair.
Mr. Wilks.
It has been moved by Mr. Wilks that Ben Lobb be elected chair of the committee. Are there any further motions?
The committee has heard the terms of the motion. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?
Some hon. members: Agreed.

The Clerk: I declare the motion carried and Ben Lobb duly elected chair of the committee.
Before inviting the chair to preside, if the committee wishes, we could now proceed to the election of vice-chairs.
Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the first vice-chair must be a member of the official opposition.

It has been moved by Mr. Lunney that Hedy Fry be elected as second vice-chair of the committee. The committee has heard the terms of the motion. Is it the pleasure of the committee to adopt the motion?

Welcome back and again thank you, everybody, for not saying no when you had a chance to.
It's great to be back. We have a few new members to our committee who are very qualified and very knowledgeable. It's great to have you two gentlemen on our committee to add to the discussion.
We've done the business we're here to do today. Is there any other business we'd like to do?
The only thing we could discuss, if you want to for a couple of minutes, is our meeting on Thursday. We'd like to have a meeting on Thursday, if we can get all the witnesses put together. If we can do that, we'll march right along and advise everybody, if we can get the witnesses to be here on time.
Maybe too, while we just have everybody here, I know we didn't discuss this, but would you like to give us a little update about what kind of work you were working on over the break? Would you like to do that, or would you want to wait for another meeting? Do we want to talk about that, or do you want to wait until Thursday to discuss that?
What are the committee's thoughts on that?
