The Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development met at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Chris Warkentin, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Carolyn Bennett, Dennis Bevington, Ray Boughen, Rob Clarke, Linda Duncan, Jonathan Genest-Jourdain, Carol Hughes, LaVar Payne, Greg Rickford, Kyle Seeback, Chris Warkentin and David Wilks.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Tonina Simeone, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Auditor General of Canada: Ronnie Campbell, Assistant Auditor General; Jerome Berthelette, Assistant Auditor General; Frank Barrett, Principal. Department of the Environment: John Moffet, Director General, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, the Committee resumed its study of Land-Use and sustainable economic development.
 

Ronnie Campbell and John Moffet made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 12:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:39 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

Greg Rickford moved, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

 

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 6; NAYS: 5.

 

At 12:40 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:40 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 

At 12:56 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
