The Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee met in camera at 1:15 p.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Dean Allison, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Dean Allison, Hon. Diane Marleau, Rob Merrifield, Yasmin Ratansi and Mervin Tweed.

 

Other Members present: Rob Anders.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Gilles Larocque, Senior Financial Advisor. Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs: Alexandre Roger, Clerk of the Committee. Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 107(1), the Subcommittee commenced its study on budget submissions.
 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $30,736 to travel to Québec City, Québec, in relation to its study on Veterans Health Care Review and Veterans Independence Program, in January - February 2008.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $1,948 to travel to Petawawa, Ontario, in relation to its study on Veterans Health Care Review and Veterans Independence Program, in January - February 2008.

 

It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs be granted a travel budget of $86,590 to travel to Shearwater, Nova Scotia; Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador; Comox, British Columbia and Cold Lake, Alberta, in relation to its study on Veterans Health Care Review and Veterans Independence Program, in January - February 2008.

 

At 1:34 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
