The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in televised session at 4:05 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Rick Borotsik, Pierre Brien, Marlene Catterall, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Dale Johnston, Joe Jordan, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, Jacques Saada, Werner Schmidt, Guy St-Julien and Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Member present: Walt Lastewka for Wayne Easter.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal.
Appearing: From the House of Commons: The Hon. John Manley, Deputy Prime Minister.
Pursuant to its mandate under Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee commenced consideration of matters related to the inclusion of a code of conduct in the Standing Orders of the House.
The Hon. John Manley made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
