The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in a televised session at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Reg Alcock, Mauril Bélanger, Pierre Brien, Scott Brison, John Cannis, Bev Desjarlais, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Preston Manning, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson, James Rajotte, Andy Savoy, Paddy Torsney and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley and Dan Shaw, Research Officers.
Appearing: From the Department of Industry: The Hon. Brian Tobin, Minister of Industry.
Witness: From the Department of Industry: Peter Harder, Deputy Minister.

The Hon. Brian Tobin made an opening statement, and with Peter Harder answered questions.
