Meeting No. 10

Wednesday, June 14, 2000

The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 4:24 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Karen Redman.

Acting Member present: Dick Harris for Maurice Vellacott.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: William Young, Researcher.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) Study of the matters relating to the proposing, promoting, monitoring and assessing of initiatives aimed at the integration and equality of disabled persons in all sectors of Canadian Society: Support systems for Persons with Disabilities.

It was agreed, - That Members of the Sub-Committee review the applicants for the Centennial Flame Award for 2000 and submit their choice for this year's recipient to the Sub-Committee Clerk by Friday, June 23.

At 4:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
