The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:14 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Vice-Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Pierre Brien, Marlene Jennings, Walt Lastewka, Gurbax Malhi, Dan McTeague, Jerry Pickard and Nelson Riis.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Canada Foundation for Innovation: Dr. David W. Strangway, President and Chief Executive Officer and Manon Harvey, Vice-President, Finance.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), follow-up of a study of a document entitled "Sustaining Canada as an Innovative Society: An Action Agenda".
Dr. Strangway made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:52 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
