The Standing Committee on Industry met at 9:36 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Antoine Dubé, Marlene Jennings, Gurbax Malhi, Dan McTeague, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw and Geoffrey Kieley, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From Queen's University: Roger Ware, Professor, Faculty of Economics. From the Communication Energy and Paperworks Union of Canada: Gail Lem, National Vice-President, Media; Mike Bocking, President Local 2000; André Foucault, National Representative. From the Graphics Communications International Union: Allan Tate, International Representative.
Pursuant to the Committee's mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a Review of the Competition Act.
Roger Ware made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:30 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 10:35 a.m., the sitting resumed.
Gail Lem made a statement and with the other witnesses answered questions.
At 11:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
