Tuesday, March 27, 2001
The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Reg Alcock, Pierre Brien, John Cannis, Bev Desjarlais, Walt Lastewka, James Rajotte, Andy Savoy, Paddy Torsney and Susan Whelan.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From Grainger and Associates: Brian Grainger. From Democracy Watch: Duff Conacher, Coordinator; Aaron Freeman, Board Member.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to the Statutory Review of the Lobbyists Registration Act.
Brian Grainger and Duff Conacher each made an opening statement and, with Aaron Freeman answered questions.
At 4:45 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
