CIMM Committee Report

On Thursday, September 28, 2006 and pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee recommends that the Auditor General of Canada undertake the following audit of The Canadian Security Intelligence Services (CSIS):

a) The process and methods used in the case file investigations for immigration purposes;

b) The type of information obtained by CSIS;

c) Methods used to obtain case file information;

How the information is analyzed in making their recommendations

Le jeudi 28 septembre 2006 et conformément à l'article 108(2), le Comité a adopté la motion suivante :

Que, conformément au paragraphe 108(2), le Comité recommande que la vérificatrice générale du Canada à entreprendre la vérification suivante du Service canadien du renseignement de sécurité (SCRS) :

a) les processus et les méthodes utilisés dans les enquêtes à des fins d’immigration;

b) le type d’information obtenue par le SCRS;

c) les méthodes utilisées pour obtenir de l’information sur les dossiers.
