Petition to the Government of Canada

Whereas:
  • Canadians’ fundamental rights enshrined in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms are nonnegotiable;
  • COVID-19 must not be used as a political tool to create a category of second-class citizens;
  • The Government of Canada must not take part in instituting segregationist practices that restrict the Charter rights of Canadian citizens; and
  • Canadians’ medical, religious, philosophical, and personal objections to vaccinations must not be trampled upon by instituting a “vaccine passport”.
We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Government of Canada to:
1. Not require Canadians to obtain a “vaccine passport” in order to exercise their Charter rights; and
2. Secure Canadians personal autonomy and ensure that they are not coerced, either directly or indirectly, to obtain a vaccine.
