Q-144 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Murphy (Charlottetown) — With regard to the 16th Annual Report to the Prime Minister on the Public Service of Canada, which reported that a total of 4,200 individuals were recruited from Canadian universities by the various departments and agencies of the government during the fiscal year 2008-2009, what is the detailed breakdown as to which universities each of the 4,200 students came from?
Q-1452 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Atamanenko (British Columbia Southern Interior) — With respect to the Canadian Agricultural Income Stabilization (CAIS) program and the AgriStability program in each of the participating provinces and in each of the program years from 2003 to 2007: (a) what were the number of applications received; (b) what were the number of payment files; (c) what was the average of all benefit payments below $500,000; (d) how many payment files were greater than $500,000; (e) what percentage of applicants received actual payments; (f) what was the farm type associated with each recipient of a payment of $500,000 or greater; (g) what was the average reference year margin of all participants by farm type; (h) what were the contributing reasons for the reduced payment percentage in 2007; (i) what were the contributing reasons for the reduced average reference year margins in 2007; and (j) what was the rationale or intended purpose of implementing the mandatory accrual reference year margin?

M-360 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Julian (Burnaby—New Westminster) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government, in collaboration with the provinces, should implement a system and regulations for the permanent identification and traceability of cattle, sheep, hogs and farmed cervids, from farm to table.
M-361 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Storseth (Westlock—St. Paul) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should recognize the importance of the military, police, fire, victim and ambulance service personnel by designating the third Saturday of May as a Support our Protective Services National Day of Appreciation.
M-362 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Atamanenko (British Columbia Southern Interior) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should: (a) rescind approvals for environmental release and for food and feed safety of genetically modified alfalfa; (b) ban the importation of genetically modified or genetically modified contaminated alfalfa into Canada; and (c) prohibit testing, commercial release or any other introduction of genetically modified alfalfa into Canada.
M-363 — April 27, 2009 — Ms. Crowder (Nanaimo—Cowichan) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should commit to the original intent of Jordan's Principle, that the needs of a child come before any consideration over jurisdictional responsibility for provision of services to children living in First Nations communities, and that First Nation children receive services on the same terms as other children.
M-364 — April 27, 2009 — Mr. Martin (Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should reduce the quantity of paper it uses to communicate with parliamentary offices by ensuring that documents are made available online and by making the receipt of theses publications in print format optional.
