    The Chair (Ms. Raymonde Folco (Laval—Les Îles, Lib.)): The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills Development, Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities is holding his 43rd meeting.

    The committee will first deal with the concerns of some members of the committee regarding Bill C-280, an Act to amend the Employment Insurance Act (Employment Insurance account and premium rate setting) and another act in consequence.

    Later on, we will go in camera to discuss committee business and a letter from the Speaker of the House.

    Hon. Peter Adams (Peterborough, Lib.): Madam Chair, I do apologize. I actually missed what you said, but I just wanted to place on the record that--

    Hon. Peter Adams: --we have decided not to proceed with the report.
