M-89 Food waste

Motion Text
That:
(a) the House recognize that a significant contribution to Canada’s annual greenhouse gas emissions is caused by preventable food loss and waste; and
(b) in the opinion of the House, the government should develop a strategy to halve per capita food waste in Canada by 2030, in accordance with the United Nations sustainable development goal 12.3, within one year of the adoption of this motion.
