Andrew Treusch made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
Pierre-Luc Dusseault gave notice of the following motion:
That the committee compel the Canada Revenue Agency to provide all written correspondence –including, but not limited to letters and emails, between the Canada Revenue Agency and the KPMG s.r.l. accounting firm, issued between January 1st 1999 and May 5th 2016, regarding the Isle of Man tax plan and any matters related to that plan, and that the documents be provided to the committee no later than Wednesday May 18th, 2016.

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion of Pierre-Luc Dusseault from Tuesday, May 3, 2016, - That the committee compel KPMG to provide documents indicating the names of clients who used the Isle of Man tax sheltering scheme and the names of KPMG employees responsible for the development and marketing of the tax scheme.
Francesco Sorbara moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing all the words after the word “committee" with the following: "That the committee request that KPMG provide detailed information including – where legally allowable – documentation, concerning the Isle of Man and other offshore tax shelter schemes, as well as the names of the KPMG employees responsible for the development and marketing of those tax schemes".
The Chair ruled the proposed amendment inadmissible as it introduces a new proposition which should properly be the subject of a substantive motion.
Robert-Falcon Ouellette moved, — That the motion be amended, by replacing the word “compel” with the word “request” and by replacing the words “indicating the names of clients who used” with the word “on”.
The question was put on the amendment of Robert-Falcon Ouellette and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 7; NAYS: 2.
Guy Caron moved, — That the motion be amended, by adding the following words after the words “tax scheme”: “before Wednesday, May 18, 2016.”

The question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 7; NAYS: 2 and now reads as follows — That the Committee request KPMG to provide documents on the Isle of Man tax sheltering scheme and the names of KPMG employees responsible for the development and marketing of the tax scheme before Wednesday, May 18, 2016.
It was agreed, — That the Committee begin a subject matter study of Bill C-15, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 22, 2016 and other measures, and that it hear from departmental officials at its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2016.
At 1:03 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
