The Standing Committee on
Government Operations and Estimates
On Friday, May 6, 2022, the committee adopted the following motion sending for documents:
That, in the context of its study of air defence procurement projects and its study of the National Shipbuilding Strategy, the committee send for, from Public Services and Procurement Canada, a bi-annual progress report concerning the progress of current maritime and air defence procurement projects, more precisely: -the Combat and Non-combat vessel shipbuilding projects contained in the National Shipbuilding Strategy; and -the projects described in the section titled “Royal Canadian Air Force” from Chapter 2 titled “Long-Term Investments to Enhance The Canadian Armed Forces’ Capabilities And Capacity To Support Peace And Security” of Canada’s Defence Policy (Strong, Secure, Engaged); including up-to-date acquisition, operating, training and maintenance costs and the progress of the work; that these reports be submitted to the committee on a bi-annual basis from June 30, 2022 to December 31, 2023; and that the reports be rendered public and published on the committee’s website.
