On 29 April 2021, the Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs of the House of Commons launched a study of enforcement on First Nations reserves as an essential component of self-government and self-determination. During this study, the committee will be looking at several issues, including jurisdiction, prosecution, funding, capacity development, and enforcement agreements with policing agents.
