| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, February 3, 2021, your committee has considered Bill C-204, An Act to amend the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (final disposal of plastic waste), and agreed on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 to report it with the following amendments: |
| Clause 1 |
| That Bill C-204, in Clause 1, be amended by adding after line 14 on page 1 the following: |
“(1.4) The prohibition provided for in subsection (1.2) shall be applied in a manner that respects the legislative competences of the federal and provincial governments.” |
| New Clause 4 |
| That Bill C-204 be amended by adding after line 10 on page 2 the following new clause: |
“Coming into Force 4 The provisions of this Act come into force on a day to be fixed by order of the Governor in Council.” |
| Schedule |
| That Bill C-204, in the Schedule, be amended by adding after item 31 on page 3 the following item: |
“32 Polyvinyl chloride” |
| Your committee has ordered a reprint of Bill C-204, as amended, as a working copy for the use of the House of Commons at the report stage. |
| A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 18, 19, 22 and 23) is tabled. |
