The Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities met at 3:28 p.m. this day, in Room 306, The Valour Building, the Chair, Larry Miller, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Peter Braid, Ed Komarnicki, Hoang Mai, David J. McGuinty, Larry Miller, Mike Sullivan, Jeff Watson, Wai Young and David Yurdiga.

 

Acting Members present: Garry Breitkreuz for Jeff Watson, Don Davies for Hoang Mai, Matthew Kellway for Isabelle Morin and Francis Scarpaleggia for David J. McGuinty.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Maxime Charron-Tousignant, Analyst; Allison Padova, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: PPP Canada Inc.: John McBride, Chief Executive Officer. Canadian Urban Transit Association: Patrick Leclerc, Vice-President, Strategic Development; Alex Maheu, Manager, Government Relations and Policy. City of Gatineau: Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin, Mayor; Gilles Carpentier, City Councillor; Denis Tassé, City Councillor; Patrick Robert-Meunier, Political Councillor.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, April 23, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of updating infrastructure in Canada: an examination of needs and investments.
 

John McBride, Patrick Leclerc and Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin made statements and, with Gilles Carpentier, answered questions.

 

At 4:18 p.m., Hoang Mai took the Chair.

 

On motion of Mike Sullivan, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 20,300.00, for the study of Updating Infrastructure in Canada: An examination of needs and investments, be adopted.

 

At 5:23 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
