The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 3:28 p.m. this day, in Room 228, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Phil McColeman, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Brad Butt, Rodger Cuzner, Joe Daniel, Sadia Groguhé, Colin Mayes, Phil McColeman, Cathy McLeod, Jinny Jogindera Sims and Jonathan Tremblay.

 

Acting Members present: Élaine Michaud for Alexandre Boulerice and Mike Wallace for Devinder Shory.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sandra Gruescu, Analyst; André Léonard, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, November 7, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of opportunities for older persons in the workforce.
 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Engaging Experience: Opportunities for Older Persons in the Workforce".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report any supplementary and/or dissenting opinions provided that they are no more than five (5) pages in length, and that they are submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk, no later than 4:00 p.m on Friday, December 6, 2013.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

At 4:12 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
