The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in a televised session at 3:29 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Charmaine Borg, Ray Boughen, Paul Calandra, Patricia Davidson, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Larry Maguire, Tilly O'Neill Gordon, Scott Simms and Bob Zimmer.

 

Acting Members present: Bob Dechert for Paul Calandra and Pat Martin for Charlie Angus.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Maxime-Olivier Thibodeau, Analyst. House of Commons: Caroline Massicotte, Procedural Clerk.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2015-16: Vote 1 under OFFICE OF THE COMMISSIONER OF LOBBYING, vote 1 under OFFICE OF THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND ETHICS COMMISSIONER, votes 1 and 5 under OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION AND PRIVACY COMMISSIONERS OF CANADA and vote 1 under SENATE ETHICS OFFICER, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
 

The Chair called Vote 1 under OFFICE OF THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST AND ETHICS COMMISSIONER and Votes 1 and 5 under OFFICE OF THE INFORMATION AND PRIVACY COMMISSIONERS OF CANADA.

 

Mary Dawson and Suzanne Legault made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
