The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met at 9:29 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Royal Galipeau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sylvain Chicoine, Royal Galipeau, Hon. Laurie Hawn, Bryan Hayes, Pierre Lemieux, Ted Opitz, John Rafferty, Peter Stoffer and Frank Valeriote.

 

Acting Members present: John Carmichael for Wladyslaw Lizon.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Isabelle Lafontaine-Émond, Analyst; Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2015-16: Votes 1 and 5 under VETERANS AFFAIRS, and Vote 1 under VETERANS REVIEW AND APPEAL BOARD, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
 

The Chair called Votes 1 and 5 under VETERANS AFFAIRS.

 

Votes 1 and 5 under VETERANS AFFAIRS carried on division.

 

The Chair called Vote 1 under VETERANS REVIEW AND APPEAL BOARD.

 

Vote 1 under VETERANS REVIEW AND APPEAL BOARD carried on division.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 1 and 5 under VETERANS AFFAIRS and Vote 1 under VETERANS REVIEW AND APPEAL BOARD, to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

On motion of Pierre Lemieux, it was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a study of the subject matter of Division 17 of Part 3 of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures and that 3 meetings be dedicated to the study: on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

 

At 9:49 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
