It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee for International Trade follow the following agenda for the next eight meetings, immediately starting with a meeting on the draft “Buy American” provisions; that government legislation take priority over any ongoing study or previous scheduled meeting and that, in such an event, the Committee will resume the study of the agenda items once the study of government legislation has been concluded:
September 27 – Canada-United States trading relationship – draft "Buy American" provisions,
September 29 – Overview briefing on international trade and free trade negotiations,
October 4 – Briefing and study of the Trade Commissioner Service,
October 6 – Minister Fast and officials appear on the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union,
October 18 – The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union,
October 20 – Briefing and study of the Trade Commissioner Service,
October 25 – Briefing and study of trade relations with Brazil,
October 27 – The Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union; and
that the Standing Committee on International Trade conduct the following studies:
Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union,
Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with India,
Trade relations with Brazil,
Trade Commissioners Service, and
Canada-United States trading relationship – draft "Buy American" provisions.
