Q-2272 — May 12, 2009 — Mr. Bagnell (Yukon) — With regards to motion M-426 (rare diseases and disorders), in the name of Mr. Bell (Vancouver North), adopted by the House on May 6, 2008, since that time: (a) has the government acted on this policy and, if not, why not; (b) how much contact has the government initiated and had with stakeholder groups such as Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders to enact this policy; (c) what financial resources has been set aside for this policy; (d) what assurances can the government give Canadians with rare disorders that they have a right to and can access effective therapies and medications; and (e) what actions will the government take to make Canadians aware of this program?
Q-2282 — May 12, 2009 — Mr. Bagnell (Yukon) — Since coming to power, (i) what has the government done to promote and help get started the Alaska Highway gas pipeline, (ii) what meetings have been held with stakeholder groups, (iii) what has been the total government expenditures to date on this project, (iv) what is the target date for the construction of this gas pipeline?
Q-2292 — May 12, 2009 — Mr. Cuzner (Cape Breton—Canso) — With regard to the Atlantic Gateway initiative: (a) how much federal funding has been announced to date; (b) how many funding expenditures have been approved to date under this program, (i) what is the federal contribution, and matching contribution from provincial or private partner sources for each expenditure for a total project cost, (ii) where is each expenditure located, (iii) what are the criteria for the approval and anticipated outcomes of each expenditure; (d) what are the amounts given to each province since the creation of this funding; and (e) what are the projected economic benefits for the Atlantic Region?

M-370 — May 12, 2009 — Mr. Martin (Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should make adoptive parents shall be eligible under Employment Insurance to receive the same maternity Employment Insurance benefits as those mothers who give birth.
M-371 — May 12, 2009 — Mr. Martin (Esquimalt—Juan de Fuca) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should allow Canadian Forces personnel to buy back their military pension when they leave the Force.
M-372 — May 12, 2009 — Mrs. Lavallée (Saint-Bruno—Saint-Hubert) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should broaden the mandate of the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada to empower it to: (a) require that Canadian banks submit an annual statement detailing all of the bank fees charged to its clients and the resulting earnings, and that this information be made public; (b) as a priority, inquire into the issue of fees management with respect to private Automatic Teller Machines and their ownership and ensure a higher control when applicable; and (c) report annually to the Standing Committee on Finance, which can assign it a specific stewardship or investigative mandate, especially in areas deemed to involve the charging of exorbitant bank fees.

M-300 — March 10, 2009 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Mrs. Thi Lac (Saint-Hyacinthe—Bagot), seconded by Ms. Demers (Laval), — That, in the opinion of this House, the government should as soon as possible introduce a bill providing: a 110 dollar monthly increase in the guaranteed income supplement paid to pensioners; the continuation of the payment, for a period of six months, of the old age security pension and supplement to a person whose spouse or common-law partner has died; automatic registration for people 65 entitled to the guaranteed income supplement; full retroactivity of the guaranteed income supplement for seniors who have been short-changed.
