The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met at 4:33 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Earl Dreeshen, Pierre Poilievre, Bill Siksay, Paul Szabo and Ève-Mary Thaï Thi Lac.

 

Acting Members present: Mike Allen for Russ Hiebert, Ron Cannan for Bob Dechert, Sukh Dhaliwal for Michelle Simson, Martha Hall Findlay for Borys Wrzesnewskyj and Richard Nadeau for Carole Freeman.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Élise Hurtubise-Loranger, Analyst; Alysia Davies, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Information Commissioner of Canada: Robert Marleau, Information Commissioner; Suzanne Legault, Assistant Commissioner, Policy, Communications and Operations; Andrea J. Neill, Assistant Commissioner, Complaints Resolution and Compliance.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (A) 2009-2010: Vote 40a under JUSTICE referred to the Committee on Thursday, May 14, 2009.
 

Robert Marleau made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 5:40 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 5:42 p.m., the Committee resumed sitting in camera.

 

It was agreed, — That Vote 40a under JUSTICE be adopted.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 40a under JUSTICE to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 5:50 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
