The Standing Committee on International Trade met in camera at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Lee Richardson, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Guy André, Hon. Navdeep Bains, Ron Cannan, Serge Cardin, Sukh Dhaliwal, Peter Julian, John Maloney, Larry Miller, Brian Pallister, Lee Richardson and Lui Temelkovski.

 

Acting Members present: Deepak Obhrai for Dean Allison.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Peter Berg, Analyst; Michael Holden, Analyst. House of Commons: Erica Pereira, Committee Clerk.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That starting Thursday, November 20, 2007, the Committee commence consideration of the draft report on Canada's Trade Relations with Key Foreign Markets. If additional time is necessary for the completion of the consideration of the report, that this time be allocated accordingly before the December break; and that up to 15 minutes be set aside for the consideration of notices of motion; and that starting Tuesday, November 27, 2007, the Committee commence a study of the Proposed Canada - Korea Free Trade Agreement.

 

It was agreed, — That the evidence and documentation received by the Standing Committee on International Trade in relation to its study of Canada's Trade Relations with Key Foreign Markets during the 1st Session of the 39th Parliament, be taken into consideration by the Committee in the current session.

 

It was agreed, — That lists of potential witnesses for the study on the Proposed Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement be submitted to the Clerk of the Committee no later than noon Thursday, November 22, 2007.

 

At 4:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
