The Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 12:05 p.m. this day, in Room 306, West Block, the Chair, Shawn Murphy, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: David Christopherson, Brian Fitzpatrick, Jean-Yves Laforest and Hon. Shawn Murphy.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Rob Walsh, Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel; Gregory Tardi, Senior Parliamentary Counsel (Legal). Library of Parliament: Alex Smith, Analyst; Lydia Scratch, Analyst.

 

It was agreed, — That regarding the study of Chapter 9, Pension and Insurance Administration, Royal Canadian Mounted Police of the November 2006 Report of the Auditor General of Canada, and the motion agreed to on May 16, 2007, that the following witnesses be invited for the meeting of June 4, 2007:

Frank Brazeau

Dominic Crupi

François Guimont, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada

Anthony Koziol

Kim Casey

and on June 11, 2007:

Christian Picard, former Officer in charge of ATIP section

Louis Alberti, Legal Services, ATIP section

Paul Mc Connell

Jeff Molson.

 

It was agreed, — That Jean Pelletier, the witness mentioned on the motion agreed to by this Committee on May 9, 2007, be summoned to appear before this Committee on June 6, 2007, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 253-D, Centre Block, following his refusal to appear and to explain himself on the apparent contradictions in the testimonies given to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Public Accounts during the hearings on the November 2003 Report of the Auditor General as well as testimonies before the Gomery Commission .

 

At 12:47 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
