The Standing Committee on the Status of Women has the honour to present its
NINTH REPORT
In consideration of the funding cuts announced September 25, 2006 and the new mandate of the Women’s Program of Status of Women effective September 27, 2006, the House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women recommends the following:
- That the government continue funding all activities of Status of Women Canada at the 2005-2006 level or higher;
- That the government reinstate the previous mandate for five years.
A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings of the Standing Committee on the Status of Women (Meeting No. 17) is tabled.
