The Standing Committee on International Trade met at 11:11 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Acting Chair, Lui Temelkovski, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dean Allison, Guy André, Hon. Navdeep Bains, Ron Cannan, Serge Cardin, Peter Julian, Hon. Dominic LeBlanc, Pierre Lemieux, John Maloney, Ted Menzies and Lui Temelkovski.

 

Acting Members present: Rod Bruinooge for Dean Allison and Ken Epp for Leon Benoit.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michael Holden, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association: Piers Cumberlege, National Board Director. Export Development Canada: Luc Dupont, Director, Strategy and Operations International Business Development Group.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the Canada's Trade Policy.
 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

 

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to consider its future business.

 

Ted Menzies moved, — That any Member of the Committee have the right to issue a dissenting opinion on any report to be presented to the House of Commons by the Committee within the conditions imposed by the Committee and in accordance with the Standing Orders of the House of Commons.

Debate arose thereon.

 

On motion of Navdeep Bains, it was agreed, — That the Committee do now adjourn.

 

At 1:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
