The Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food met at 8:37 a.m. this day, in the Lakeview A & B, Lakeview Resort & Gimli Conference Centre, Gimli, Manitoba, the Chair, James Bezan, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: David Anderson, Alex Atamanenko, James Bezan, Hon. Wayne Easter, Roger Gaudet, Hon. Charles Hubbard, Larry Miller and Paul Steckle.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Denis Fréchette, Principal.

Witnesses: Manitoba Corn Growers Association Inc.: Bob Bartley, Director. Manitoba Canola Growers Association: Brian Chorney, President. Manitoba Pork Council: Andrew Dickson, General Manager. Bifrost Bio-Blends: Roy Eyjolfson, Project Manager; Denis Kaprawy, President. Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation: Neil Hamilton, President and Chief Executive Officer . Manitoba Pulse Growers Association Inc.: Tammy Jones, Executive Director; Lincoln Wolfe, President. Canadian Horticultural Council: Keith Kuhl, Chairman, Potato Committee. Manitoba Cattle Producers Association: Martin Unrau, President.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Agricultural Policy Framework.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That, the time given for questionning of the witnesses will be of 5 minutes per member.

At 10:15 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
