The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Hon. Don Boudria, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Don Boudria, Yvon Godin, Hon. Dominic LeBlanc, Hon. Judi Longfield, Pauline Picard and Scott Reid.

 

Acting Members present: Mario Laframboise for Michel Guimond, Hon. Rob Nicholson for Jay Hill and Hon. Raymond Simard for Françoise Boivin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal.

 

Appearing: House of Commons: Peter Milliken, Speaker.

 

Witnesses: House of Commons: William Corbett, Clerk; Audrey O'Brien, Deputy Clerk; Luc Desroches, Director General, Corporate Services; Louis Bard, Chief Information Officer.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2005-2006: Vote 5 (House of Commons) under PARLIAMENT referred to the Committee on Friday, February 25, 2005.
 

The Chair called Vote 5 under PARLIAMENT.

 

The Speaker made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

Vote 5 under PARLIAMENT carried.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 5 under PARLIAMENT, less the amounts voted in Interim Supply, to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

On motion of Pauline Picard, ORDERED, — That the Chief Electoral Officer of Canada be summoned to appear before the Committee from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

 

At 12:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
