The Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 9:04 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Norman Doyle, Wendy Lill, Tony Tirabassi.
Acting Member present: Peter Goldring for Reed Elley.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young and Kevin Kerr, researchers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian AIDS Society: Paul Lapierre, Executive Director; Ainsley Chapman, Program Consultant. From the Canadian Mental Health Association: Elisabeth Ostiguy, Director, Public Issues. From the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada: Deanna Groetzinger, Vice-President, Communications.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Subcommittee resumed its study of Canada Pension Plan Disability. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday November 20, 2002, Meeting no. 1).
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 10:37 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 10:40 a.m., by unanimous consent, the Subcommittee proceeded to sit in camera.
The Subcommittee proceeded to discuss its future business.
At 11:25 a.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
