Wednesday, February 5, 2003

The Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:43 p.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Subcommittee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral and Reed Elley.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young and Kevin Kerr, Researchers.

Witnesses: From the Caledon Institute of Social Policy: Sherri Torjman, Vice-President; Michael Mendelson, Policy analyst. From the University of Victoria: Michael Prince, Lansdowne Professor of Social Policy, Faculty of Human and Social Development. As Individual: Sally A. Kimpson.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Subcommittee resumed its study of Canada Pension Plan Disability. (See Minutes of Proceedings of Wednesday November 20, 2002, Meeting no. 1).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 5:37 p.m., the Subommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
