The Subcommittee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 9:15 a.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral,

Acting Member:  S. Bulte for Anita Neville.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: William Young and Kevin Kerr, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc.: Mark R. Daniels, President; Greg Traversy, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Policy Development; Irene Klatt, Director, Health Insurance Policy. As Individual: Sue Lott, Lawyer. From the Workers' Advisers: Blake Williams, Director.

M.R. Daniels, Sue Lott and Blake Williams made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
