The Subcommittee on Children and Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Acting Chair, Alan Tonks, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Wendy Lill, Larry Spencer and Alan Tonks.
Acting Member present: Karen Kraft Sloan for John Godfrey.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Julie Cool, Research officer.
Witnesses: From the Ben Calf Robe Society: Claudette DeWitt, Program Manager; Susanne Gudmundson, Program Coordinator. From the Canadian Council on Social Development: John Anderson, Vice-President, Research.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday, November 5, 2002, Meeting No. 1), the Subcommittee resumed its study on aboriginal children from 0 to 12 years living in urban areas.
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 4:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
