The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in a televised session at 3:56 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: André Bachand, Larry Bagnell, Paul Crête, Cheryl Gallant, Walt Lastewka, Serge Marcil, Brian Masse, Dan McTeague, Hon. Gilbert Normand, James Rajotte, Andy Savoy, Brent St. Denis and Joseph Volpe.
Acting Members present: Mac Harb for Paddy Torsney and Rob Merrifield for Brian Fitzpatrick.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley and Dan Shaw, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of the Automatic Injunction Provisions in the Patented Medicine (Notice of Compliance) Regulations of the Patent Act.
Jim Keon and Jean-Guy Goulet each made an opening statement and, with Ed Hore, Jack Kay, Allan Oberman and Hank Klakurka answered questions.
At 6:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
