The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 3:19 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Judi Longfield, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Eugène Bellemare, Libby Davies, Peter Goldring, Monique Guay, Judi Longfield, Gurbax Malhi, Raymond Simard and Diane St-Jacques.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Chantal Collin and Kevin Kerr Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the British Columbia Literacy: Jean Rasmussen, Director, Family Literacy. From the Alberta Literacy: Elaine Cairns, Vice-President. From the North West Territories Literacy Council: Kate Sills, Executive Director. From the Literacy Partners of Manitoba: Marg Rose, Executive Director.
