The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 8:34 a.m. this day, in the Émilia/Percy Lequesne/Hector-Denis Rooms, Hôtel des Commandants, Gaspé, Québec, the Chair, Tom Wappel, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Reed Elley, Loyola Hearn, Jean-Yves Roy, Peter Stoffer, Tom Wappel, Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: François Côté, research officer.

From the "Fédération des pêcheurs semi-hauturiers du Québec": Gabrielle

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced a study on Atlantic Fisheries Issues.
Ghislain Cyr made a statement and answered questions.
Gabrielle Landry made a statement and, with Sylvain Samuel and Gilles Champoux, answered questions.
Jean-Paul Gagné made a statement and, with Robert Langlois, answered questions.
Réginald Cotton made a statement and answered questions.

At 12:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
