Meeting No. 6

Thursday, March 21, 2002

The Sub-Committee on Veterans Affairs of the Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:05 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Colleen Beaumier, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Roy Bailey, Colleen Beaumier, Louis Plamondon, Carmen Provenzano, Elsie Wayne and Bob Wood.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer.

Witnesses: From the Department of Veterans Affairs: André Smith, Director General - Canadian Battlefield Memorials Restoration Project; Lorraine Flannery, Senior Liaison Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee convened for a briefing session on the Canadian Battlefield Memorials Restoration Project 2001-2006.

André Smith made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 09:50 a.m., Bob Wood took the Chair.

At 10:34 a.m., Colleen Beaumier took the Chair.

At 11:00 a.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
