Meeting No. 17

Tuesday, March 12, 2002

The Sub-Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 6:22 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Carolyn Bennett, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Wendy Lill, Anita Neville, Larry Spencer, Tony Tirabassi.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Bill Young and Kevin Kerr, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of the current operation of the Disability Tax Credit form T2201, (See Minutes of Proceedings of Tuesday, November 27, 2001, Meeting no. 10).

The Sub-Committee proceeded to study its draft report on the current operation of the Disability Tax Credit form T2201.

It was agreed – That the draft report on the current operation of the Disability Tax Credit form T2201 be adopted and that the Chair present it to the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities.

It was agreed – That the report be entitled ‘Getting it Right for Canadians: The Disability Tax Credit.

It was agreed – That the researchers and clerk be authorized to make such typographical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the Report.

At 6:51 p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
