FORTY-THIRD REPORT

QUARANTE-TROISIÈME RAPPORT

In accordance with its Order of Reference from the House of Commons of June 12, 2001, and the Thirty-Fourth Report of the Committee which was tabled and adopted by the House on October 30, 2001, the Committee has considered the matter of improving procedures for the consideration of Private Members' Business and has agreed to the following:

Conformément à l'ordre de renvoi reçu de la Chambre des communes le 12 juin 2001, et au Trente-quatrième rapport du Comité présenté à la Chambre et adopté le 30 octobre 2001, le Comité a examiné la question de l'amélioration de la procédure relative à l'étude des affaires émanant des députés et a convenu :

 THAT,  the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs reports that changes to the Standing Orders for the consideration of Private Members’ Business, including a workable proposal allowing for all items to be votable, cannot be achieved at this time.

 QUE,  le Comité de la procédure et des affaires de la Chambre fait rapport que des changements au Règlement relatifs à l’étude des affaires émanant des députés, incluant une proposition réalisable permettant que toutes ces affaires puissent faire l’objet d’un vote, n’ont pu être apportés à ce moment-ci.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meeting Nos. 31, 32, 37, 39 and 41) is tabled.

Un exemplaire des Procès-verbaux pertinents (réunions n^os 31, 32, 37, 39 et 41) est déposé.
