The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:06 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: John Cummins, John Duncan, Wayne Easter, Gerald Keddy, Dominic LeBlanc, Jean-Yves Roy, Guy St-Julien, Peter Stoffer.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the Department of Fisheries and Oceans: Liseanne Forand, Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy; Paul Cuillerier, Director General, Habitat Management and Environmental Science; Richard Wex, Director General, Office of Sustainable Aquaculture; Iola Price, Director, Aquaculture Branch, Oceans and Aquaculture Science Directorate.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed the review of Chapter 30 of the Auditor General's Report.
The Chair made opening remarks.
Liseanne Forand made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
At 11:05 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
