Meeting No. 24
Tuesday, October 16, 2001
The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera at 9:14 a.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Andy Burton, John Cummins, Rodger Cuzner, Wayne Easter, Georges Farrah, Loyola Hearn, Dominic LeBlanc, James Lunney, Bill Matthews, Jean-Yves Roy, Paul Steckle, Peter Stoffer, Tom Wappel.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, research officer.
Pursuant to Section 52 of the Oceans Act, the Committee resumed consideration of the draft report.
At 11 a.m. the Committee proceeded to consider future business of the committee.
It was agreed, - That the Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans be charged with the authority to organize a tour of selected aquaculture sites in Ontario as part of the Committee’s continuing study of aquaculture in Canada.
At 11:02 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
