The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 9:30 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Roy Cullen, Nick Discepola, Albina Guarnieri, Yvan Loubier, Maria Minna, Shawn Murphy, Charlie Penson, Gary Pillitteri, Bryon Wilfert.
Acting Members present: Nancy Karetak-Lindell for Albina Guarniari, Larry Bagnell for Sophia Leung.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Acting Principal, Blayne Haggart and Marc-André Pigeon, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Association of Yukon Communities: Glen Everitt, President. From the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami of Canada: Whit Fraser, Political Advisor. From the Inuit Women's Association: Veronica Dewar, President. From the Northwest Territories Municipal Association: Winnie Cadieux, Director. From the Nunavut Association of Municipalities: Keith Peterson, President.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee continued its pre-budget discussions.
The witnesses made presentations and answered questions.
At 9:49 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:50 a.m., the sitting resumed.
At 10:55 a.m., Nick Discepola took the Chair.
At 10:57 a.m., Sue Barnes took the Chair.
At 11:30 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
